Le Grand Millésime 1999 de Champagne GOSSET...
The sublime sensations of the 20th century's last vintage
Each Gosset Vintage Champagne reveals the quintessence and complex mysteries of a unique year. 1999 was one of the most stunning vintages of the 20 th century.
This rare vintage, the Gosset Grand Millesime 1999, is finally available for tastings. Elaborated by Jean-Pierre Mareignier, Gosset's cellar director, Grand Millesime 1999 is a superb example of ‘terroir' authenticity and of the Gosset style itself.
Composed of 56% Chardonnay ‘grand crus' and of 44% pinot noir ‘grand and premier crus', this Grand Millesime offers an elegant but rich and racy personality.
Tasting notes:
Tender yellow colour with hints of green gold, fine and abundant bubbles. Regular and intense cordon.
Apricots, pair and quince. Vine flower nose with a slightly honey backdrop.
Rapid and persistent note of citrus fruit on aromas of apricot, mango and fresh fig. Delicate final flavour, dominated by a zest of lemon freshness.
'Cuisine nouvelle': traditional or regional, French cuisine or exotic cuisine
Ageing: 6 years at 11 °
Tasting: at 7° (ice bucket)
