A quadrupel brewed with: water, malt (pilsner, special-B and caraaroma), flaked wheat, syrup, dark kandis, dark muscovado sugar, hops (northern brewer, styrian golding and hallertauer) and ale yeast. A couple of sips of this dark, Belgian-inspired ale put the Christmas stress in a whole new perspective. The sweetness from the caramel malt and the alcoholic warmth light Christmas candles in the eyes of even the most stressed-out Santa Claus, so he feels the calm of the Belgian Trappist-monasteries, who’s beer have inspired Mikkeller. Put one on the coffee table, and he’ll be happy. Ho, ho, ho.
