BRØNDUM KUMMENAQUAVIT is one of the spiciest of the clear AALBORG aquavits. The aroma is a delightful blend of caraway, cinnamon, a hint of star aniseed, orange and pure liquorice. It is a fruity aquavit with a refined and complex aftertaste.
With its high alcohol content BRØNDUM KUMMENAQUAVIT is a good accompaniment to slightly fatty dishes, such as pork roast or liver paste with pickles on rye bread. It is best served chilled, so that it provides the best contrast to the tasty solid food, while also adding extra flavour to the dish. It was the celebrated distiller Anthon Brøndum (1809-1873), who gave his name to this aquavit for connoisseurs.
