This exquisite cognac comes from the vineyards around the Château de Triac and has an average maturing period of approximately half a century. When a cognac becomes this old it will develop a relatively marked cask bouquet, also known as “rancio”. A cognac from Grande Champagne also develops floral tones when aged for a long time. Braastad Château de Triac - Réserve de la Famille has been matured on very old casks with a high percentage of Tronçais oak. To be called a Château Cognac, a cognac must be distilled using wine made from grapes from the château’s own vineyards. Master Blender Richard Braastad has used only the finest cognacs from the château’s cellars to create the Braastad family’s own reserve, the Braastad Château de Triac - Réserve de la Famille.
