Some people just love peaty and smoky malt whisky. And for some, the peatier and smokier the better. It’s for these people that we make THE PEAT MONSTER.
It’s big, it’s peaty (very), it’s smoky (very), it’s rich (we pick really good
casks!). And it’s very deserving of its name.

What makes it fit into the Compass Box house style is the balance of richness and subtle sweetness that the old casks of Ardmore provide to the smoky-peaty Caol Ila. As with all our whiskies, several months of marrying allow all the flavours of each of the whiskies to knit together to form what is our biggest and most complex offering. Not over the top, (that's just not our style), but big, complex and balanced.

Flavour Descriptors: Full on the palate, rich and loaded with flavour: smokiness, peat, maltiness and hints of fruit and spice.
Recommendations: Sipped neat, with a splash of water or with ice, to taste. An ideal after dinner or late night whisky.
Distillery Sourcing: Single malts from the Islay village of Port Askaig and the Spetside village of Kennethmont. All whiskies are aged between 10 and 15 years.
Wood: Mix of first-fill and refill American Oak.
Bottling Details: Bottled at 46% Abv. Natural Colour. Not Chill Filtered. A natural, slight haze will form in this whisky when water is added or when it gets cold. This is a good thing!
