Cask and bottle: Special - Spring 2011.
NOTE: Some of the production was allocated to Kernel brewery, where it was bottled as The Kernel London Brick Red Rye Ale with Dark Star and Redemption overprinted on the label.
A special brew amongst friends. Brewed for the 21st Aniversary of the Brighton Beer Fest, as requested by Evening Star landlord Matt Wickham. Brewed at Redemption brewery, with many talented friends: Mark Tranter from Dark Star, Evin O’R, from Kernel, Simon S, from Zerodegrees, James from Brodies, and Angelo and Steve from BrewWharf. This is a big hopped rye ale. Shades of red/amber, over nearly 30% of the grist being Rye. Then hopped in a DarkStar/Kernel/BrewWharf way, with a ton of Simcoe, Centennial and Cascade. Some 18ks went into 10 uk Brewers barrels. Read more about the beer at Mark Tranters blog: http://darkstarbrewing.co.uk/marks-blog/a-great-result-from-white-hart-lane/
