X.O is a blend of a hundred eaux-de-vie from the four premiers crus from the delimited region of Cognac: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fins Bois, Borderies. The oldest of these eaux-de-vie approach the age of thirty and give X.O its exceptional quality, its consistency and its complexity. These eaux-de-vie age for a long time in young casks of Limousin oak, which permits, thanks to this exchange between climate and tannins freed from the oak, creating this great rich and powerful cognac.

AROMA
The first wave, rich in dried fruit aromas such as prunes or dried figs, overcomes you. The aromas evolve to more dense notes of chocolate and black pepper, mellowed by cinnamon, clove and cardamom spices. These fragrant and generous scents of crystallized fruit, oak, spices, and emanations of old leather, all fall into place very distinctly.

TASTE
Very balanced on the palate, X.O confirms the aromas discovered by scent, dried fruit and chocolate. Elegant and robust, it reveals balance, roundness, and harmony among aromas, underlined by the strength of peppery notes, and vegetable fragrances from the oak. A lovely long aftertaste is enrobed in velvet conferring the last sweet notes of cinnamon and vanilla.
