Named after the little birds that fly by the brewery looking for grain after the weather turns cold, this was originally to be a Fall/Winter seasonal. Clearly we underestimated the market for this smooth and malty brown ale, and we have decided to keep it for year round enjoyment.

Sensory profile: Smooth and malty, with a subdued hop presence. This beer puts the emphasis on malt not hops.

Food pairing: The rich malt backbone of this beer calls out for roasted meats and rich cheeses.

Hops: Columbus, Sterlings, Goldings.
Malts: Canadian Pale, English Crystal, German Munch, German Roast.
