Produced in very limited quantities and only released in exceptional years, Afincado wines are sourced from two of the most treasured plots of land in Mendoza, Argentina. This single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is produced at 980 metres/3200 feet above sea level producing the pinnacle of varietal fruit expression from Terrazas de los Andes winery featuring spicy, red fruit and plum notes.

TASTING AND FOOD PAIRING

* Colour: intense, dark violet-red.
* Aroma: alluring aromas of raspberry jam, cassis, roasted red bell pepper and clove, mingle with traces of toasted walnuts, vanilla and caramel.
* Palate: corpulent, generously structured and very well-balanced. Sweet tannins add a velvety sensation. Black fruit and spicy aromas persist through the long finish. Ageing will enhance the wine's complexity.
* Best with heavy meat, Indian food, pesto sauce, aromatic and fusion food.

VINEYARDS
37 year old average vines at Los Aromos Vineyard, Perdriel district at 980 metres / 3200 feet above sea level. Handpicked and hand-filtered from our single vineyard.

VINIFICATION
3-5 weeks of maceration. Only the free-run wine was taken to 100% new French oak barrels for 18 months.
