Serving temperature: Roomtemperature
Barrel aged: Yes
Aging period: 15 years
The producers web site: www.braastad-cocnac.com
This noble XO is a perfect marriage of some of the Braastad family’s best and oldest cognacs. The quality designation Fine Chamapagne requires that at least 50% of the cognac comes from the Grande Champagne region and the rest from Petite Champagne. Braastad XO received the Silver Medal in the XO category at the International Wine and Spirits Competition both in 2003 and in 2005. Tasting notes: Dark golden colur with deep red tones. On the nose, ripe fruits and floral scents combined with a distinct oak aroma. Soft and well rounded palate, elegantly matured with balanced oak and a touch of rancio. Very long and complex finish with hints of citrus, nuts, vanilla and dark chocolate.
