Very deep red showing a very nice concentration with tints of intense purple.
Nose:
A vivacious nose emphasized by notes of ripe fruit (Merlot). Wonderful aromas of licorice and violets emerge later.
Palate:
Round and expressive with notes of blackberry stronger on the palate than in the nose. Good balance of lively acidity and smooth texture. This wine is fresh, youthful and alive.
Tips on service:
• Very good wine to drink now.
• Can be opened up to 3 years from vintage date.
• Serve at 16-17°C.
Food and wine matching suggestions:
coq au vin, grilled pork, roast meat, couscous with chicken, roast chicken, white meat in sauce.
