Tasting notes
Our 2004 Vintage Reserve is a classic Bordeaux-style blend that hails from superior vineyard blocks at our winery estate in the Santa Ynez Valley. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec, this wine begins with aromas of black cherry, plum,licorice and a hint of mocha. The palate is smooth and elegant with flavors of cassis, licorice and mocha. Firm tannins glide flawlessly into a long, rich finish. This wine will reward cellaring for the next 10 years.

Winemaking notes
The grapes were hand harvested from select estate blocks at our vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley. After destemming and light crushing, each lot was inoculated with a slowfermenting yeast for balanced extraction. Extended maceration was employed for a total of 28 days of skin contact to refine the tannin profile. This wine was aged for 22 months in limited thin-staved French Oak barrels.
