In ancient Egypt, the belief was that bees were born out of the teras of the sun god Râ. Honey was often used there to flavor and add a divine or curative nature to many beverages and foods. More than 5000 years ago, Egyptians were already making a grain based beer to which honey was frequently added. It is in the honor of ancient Egypt and the tears of their sun god that we brew Necrareüs. With its wildflower honey notes and lightly roasted cereal flavors, our honey brown ale is delightful and has a mellow bitterness and a malty, slighty sweet finish.
