WINE CHARACTER
An estate grown wine standing out for its aromatic intensity and complexity, 100% Chardonnay, Mendoza, Argentina.
IN THE WINE LIST
Terrazas Reserva wines are hand-harvested from select estate vineyards of Terrazas de los Andes from the top districts of Mendoza, Argentina at the ideal altitude. Grown at 1200 metres/3900 feet above sea level in the district of Tupungato, Terrazas Reserva Chardonnays adapt well in the cooler high altitudes, with characteristic acidity, freshness and a delicate fruit palate.
TASTING AND FOOD PAIRING
* Colour: bright, deep golden yellow with light green hues.
* Aroma: intense ripened fruit, with notes of white peaches, apricots, passion fruit, mango and pineapple. Vanilla and caramel add complexity.
* Palate: opens with honeyed opulence around a sleek body, mouth filling with vivid acids playing on the lingering finish.
* Best with haute cuisine, sweet infusions, butter and cream sauce, French, Japanese (sushi and tempura), Latin and fusion food.
VINEYARDS
A district-specific blend of our top Chardonnay vineyards from Tupungato at 1200 metres / 3900 feet above sea level. Estate grown (Single Appellation).
VINIFICATION
The whole-cluster pressed juice is inoculated with yeast and moved to 100% new French oak barrels for fermentation. The lees are stirred twice a week, then once, for the first few months, for a total of eight months in the barrel.
